Henry
2014-009
MAY 13, 2014: I was adopted!
Cuteness overload! Lovable pup Henry arrived on May 2 and is having a great time at his foster home.
and that his mom was Newf-Bouvier mix. He's cute as can be, and will definitely be a big fella' when he's full grown.
A typical young male giant breed puppy, Henry has loads and loads of energy and is a goofy, playful boy. His owners were ill prepared for training and caring for a giant breed puppy and found themselves quickly overwhelmed by Henry's puppy antics. With few rules, little structure and not enough stimulation in his life Henry found it hard to contain his enthusiasm and puppy energy. His family made the decision to turn him over to us for training and adoption.
Henry gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and is a playful boy. He's been out to events with his foster mom already and was wonderful meeting lots of new people and animals. What a good boy! He is ok with cats, although he does bark at them playfully. He would be fine in a home with other pets.
Henry's ideal family will have someone around much of the time to give him the attention and training he needs. He is best suited to a family with previous giant breed experience.
Henry is UTD on vaccines. Given his young age he has not yet been neutered. He will be placed on a strictly enforced non-breeding contract with a neuter contract in place. A partial refund ($100) of his adoption donation will be issued once his neuter is completed. His neuter should be done after his growth plates have closed.
Henry is being fostered in the Guelph area and his approved adopters will be required to pick him up in person. An adoption donation of $700 applies - see note above regarding the partial refund after his neuter.
