Foster homes are the backbone of our rescue--without foster space we would be unable to help all of the many wonderful Newfs who find themselves in need of temporary housing while their forever home is being found.
We cover all costs associated with fostering including vet care, medication/supplements, quality food, and more. We will provide you with the equipment you need like crates, bowls, leashes, towels, toys, and we even offer training seminars for our foster families. Our trained screening coordinators will do all of the legwork to find a great forever family for your foster dog. As a foster family, you become part of our team and we are available to help you out along the way.
What is involved in fostering? As a foster, you will open your home and your heart to a dog in need while they wait for their forever family to come along. They will live with you and your family and join in on your regular daily activities--just like your own pets. You will take them to their vet appointments, keep them exercised and groomed, and shower them with lots of love, training and kindness.
If you think you would be interested in providing a foster home for a Newf in need please download and complete our Foster Application and return it to us.
Please note: for the safety of the dogs in our care, we do require that all foster families have a securely fenced yard.
