All about Sky
Hanging out at class, what a good boy!

This handsome landseer is a friendly fellow who is eager to please and quick to learn.  He knows some basic commands and is sweet and affectionate.  He has nice house manners and is a lovable boy.

This well-traveled boy came to Canada from Belgium and has enjoyed many adventures in his 5 years.   He came to us through no fault of his own when his owner moved back overseas and was unable to take him.  He is currently living with his dog sitter.

What a cutie!

He has lived happily with cats and is fine with well-mannered dogs.  He can get a little excited when meeting new dogs but redirects very well and is happy to work for treats!  Good boy!

Sky has been vaccinated and his recent bloodwork showed no issues.  Sky has now been neutered and will be ready to join an adoptive home shortly.

We had hip xrays performed on him due to his slightly odd gait and him favouring his left side when standing. He has mild dysplasia in his hips, although his mobility is not compromiseed and he can happily romp and play without issue.  He will be a good candidate for joint supplements and exercises to target building his hip muscles and to ensure good muscle support to his knees to prevent future injuries.

All about Rose
This sweet 1-year-old gal is a real catch!  Well mannered, gentle and lovable as can be, Rose will be the perfect addition to a loving family who has some time to work on her socialization.

She knows basic commands, walks nicely on leash, has lovely house manners, and is an all-around wonderful gal.  Sure, she has her moments of puppy silliness, but she is eager to please and quick to learn.

Rose at obedience class -- such a good girl!  She's learning manners, gaining confidence, improving her social skills and becoming a well-mannered girl

Rose gets along with well-mannered dogs and could happily join a home with dogs, cats or other critters.  She is gentle and friendly and such a good girl!  Here she is with her foster sister Peggy (Rose on the left, Peggy on the right.)

She can be a bit nervous when meeting new dogs and people, but with continued socialization we expect her confidence to increase greatly.  Her awesome foster parents have been taking her to classes to improve her social skills.  An adoptive family who is committed to continuing on with her training will be ideal for her.

Rose came to us when her owners were not able to meet her health needs.  They made the loving decision to surrender her to our program so that we could get to the bottom of her recurring bladder infections and get her on the road to good health.

While in our care, Rose underwent surgery to correct her inverted vulva that we suspect might be the cause of the recurring infections.  She is now healed from the surgery and we will monitor to see if that solved the issue, otherwise, she will likely need to be on prescription food to maintain urinary health.  Her most recent bladder culture showed no issues!

She is ready to join an adoptive home, with a family who understands that it could take several months to learn whether the surgery will be effective at preventing further infections and that the possibility exists that she will require prescription food if an infection recurs.
