Look how pretty I am after my trip to the groomer!
November 10, 2012: Jasmin was adopted!

Jasmin is a lovable, huggable Landseer who is looking for a great family to call her very own.  She is sweet as can be and well mannered and will make one special family very happy.  This gentle girl is the epitome of what a Newf should be -- friendly, well socialized, laid back and an absolute delight to spend time with.

Jasmin is gentle with everyone she meets and could join a family with children.   She is very well mannered around everyone. She'd be a great therapy dog!

She gets along superbly with all other dogs (big or small) and could quite happily join a family with other dogs. She is also awesome with cats. What a great girl! Check out the video below of her playing with the resident young Landseer at her foster home.

Even though Jasmin is 7 years old she still has lots of pep. She loves to go for walks and even has fun on play dates with other dogs. Check out the video below; she's mixing it up and having a blast with an 8 month old Lab puppy. That's the beauty of a senior Newf like Jasmin; friendly and playful with other dogs but they don't want to play all day long like a younger Newf. They like their out and about time, but then they like to snooze the rest of the day away on their dog bed. Perfect!

yep, I've got a bit of gray around my right eye.
Hanging with the resident dog at her foster home
She arrived on Aug 26, 2012 and has been nothing but fantastic since day one. She has proven herself to be a fabulous gal, excellent house manners, great with other animals, wonderful with people -- the perfect Newf! In the video below she's making friends at the dog park. She has PERFECT doggie social skills! Jasmin loves to go for car rides too and is an ideal passenger. What isn't wonderful about this gal??

Jasmin loves water!
Jasmin is 7 years old, spayed and up to date with her vaccines. She weighs 108 lbs but could stand to lose a few pounds.  When she first came to us, her front end was sore so we put her on Derramax. Now that she's been getting regular exercise and has built up some muscle, she's not sore anymore and is not on any medication. She does get a daily glucosamine supplement to strengthen and help her joints.

She is being fostered in Mississauga, and her adoptive family will be required to pick her up in person.  Because she is a mature Newf, our usual adoption donation of  $500 will be reduce to $400.

Obi

Sept 3: Obi has been adopted

Meet Obi, a handsome Newf who arrived in our care on August 19th.  This gentle giant is affectionate and sweet as can be.  Obi is searching for a great family to call his own.  Maybe he's the Newf you've been waiting for?

Chillin' in the yard at my foster home

Obi just arrived in foster care and is currently under assessment.  More details will be posted about him as we get to know him better.  So far, he appears to be a reserved boy who is a little shy but warms up quickly.

Obi has lived with cats and would be fine in a household with cats or small pets.  He also appears to get along well with other well socialized dogs.  Obi could join a family with another well mannered dog.  Here he is meeting his "foster sister" Cubby for the first time:

Obi came to us through no fault of his own.  With the arrival of a second 2 footed family member, Obi's family felt they were no longer meeting Obi's needs and made the decision to surrender him.
Look at me being a good boy out shopping for treats after my vet appointment!
Obi has good house manners and is fine being left loose in the house unattended. He doesn't seem too impressed with stairs though!

Ummm, you don't actually expect me to walk up these do you?

Obi was born December 12, 2009 so he is just a young fella.   He appears to be in good health and weighs 140 lbs.  He has been neutered, and his vaccines have been updated.

Obi is being fostered in the Etobicoke area.  His adoptive family will be required to pick him up in person.  An adoption donation of $500 applies.

To be considered for adopting Obi please complete an adoption application found in the "Contact Us" section of this site.   Information about our adoption policies and procedures can be read on our "FAQ page".
