All about Nikita
Nikita arrived in our care on August 8 and is getting herself settled into her foster home.  She has joined a foster home with a couple mellow, well-socialized dogs and is doing very well adjusting to her new surroundings.

She came to us through no fault of her own when her owner was not able to meet Nikita's needs.  Nikita is a total doll, she is gentle, well mannered, and sweet as can be!  She loooooves to snuggle and is happiest curled up on the couch being petted and adored.  What a great catch she is!

Healthwise she is doing well.  We are currently treating Nikita for flea-bite dermatitis and hope to have her skin all healed up and feeling better very soon. So far so good!   Her bloodwork results show mild anemia which we expect to resolve easily now that her fleas have been cleared up.  She should be ready to be spayed once her skin infections are all cleared.

Nikita has some arthritis and her back end can be sore.  We have started her on pain meds and this has made a huge difference for her.  Some pain meds and joint supplements will be needed throughout her life.

We are accepting applications now to begin the screening process.  She will be ready to join her approved adopters once she has been spayed, and recovered from the surgery.

To be considered for adopting a dog through Newf Friends please submit a completed application, which can be found on the CONTACT US/FORMS page. Before completing an application or emailing us with questions, please review our FAQ page.  As outlined on our FAQ page, applicants who do not meet our adoption requirements (ie. no fenced play area, living in an apartment building, having young children, etc.) will not be considered -- please do not email us asking us to make an exception.
