June 24, 2011: Buttercup was adopted!!Say hello to Buttercup, an adorable purebred Newf around 5 years old.
Buttercup has known lots of love in her life and is an affectionate and very people oriented gal. She wants nothing more than someone to cuddle with, and is a total love bug. She happily wags her tail and gives kisses, such a sweet girl!
Buttercup came to us, along with her pals Mariah and Jazz after their owner's health necessitated that she move into a long term care facility. A heartbreaking decision for everyone involved.
Buttercup is the most sensitive of the three girls, and is the most reserved of the trio when meeting new people and animals. A little unsure of herself, she will do best in the care of a gentle, kind leader. Once she knows all is well her tail starts wagging and this love bug blossoms into an affectionate and playful girl.
She would be happy to find a quiet, calm household where she can hang out with her family and get a lot of attention. She is fine with other dogs so could join a multi-dog household with calm, quiet dogs, or would be happy as the only dog.
She has a youthful, playful side, and likes to run around the yard in her foster home and has a carefree, happy way about her when she is romping around. She's a charming girl, something is very special about her.
Buttercup is up to date on vaccines, and will be spayed on Monday, June 13. She is in overall good health weighs about 100 lb and will benefit from putting on some lean muscle mass.
Born with a cleft palate, Buttercup has undergone reconstructive surgery and is missing part of her upper lip/jaw. (Click the images to see in larger size.) This does not affect her ability to eat, and requires no further care. It does mean she has a happy, smiling face all the time, and that cute little tongue of hers slips out of her mouth all the time! She's simply adorable and everyone who has met her simply melts when they look into her big, brown, beautiful eyes.
To be considered fro adopting Buttercup, please complete an adoption application and return it to us. She is currently in the Bancroft area, and will be moving to a foster home in Fergus on Tuesday, June 14.
An adoption donation of $500 applies.
