Ruthie

Ruthie
2013-027
January 18/14: Ruthie was adopted!

Say hello to Ruthie, an adorable gal who is searching for her perfect forever home.  This 3 year old Landseer is super friendly and affectionate and will make a great companion for the right family!

Ruthie was rehomed by her previous family and the new home did not work out and Ruthie ended up as a stray.  Her original owner was located by another rescue group but the owner was unable to take her so she has been turned over to Newf Friends.  Ruthie arrived in our care on November 24 and is under assessment in her foster home.

She will be available for adoption several weeks from now. She is currently in heat and will be spayed a few weeks after her heat ends, assuming she is not pregnant.   (She was roaming the streets while in heat, so we  hope that she was not bred.)
Ruthie is in a foster home with other dogs and after an adjustment period meeting the new dogs, she has settled nicely and is playful and goofy.  She will benefit from further socialization to improve her social skills with other dogs.

Further details will follow as we get to know Ruthie better.

She is being fostered in Eastern Ontario.  Her approved adopters will be required to pick her up in person.  An adoption donation of $500 will apply.
