Ellie

Ellie
2014-026

September 7: I was adopted!

Beautiful Ellie is a 3 year old, female Saint Bernard. She came into rescue through no fault of her own when circumstances in her family caused them to have to make the heart wrenching decision to give her up. Ellie has known much love in her life and she knows how to give love in return.

Ellie has lived with both dogs and children. She gets along well with others and is a
very sweet girl. Ellie had been significantly overweight but has recently lost quite a bit of her unwanted girth. Her vet says she is in good shape.

Ellie will bark at people she doesn't know upon first meeting them but that is basically an invitation to pet her. She loves walks, though her leash manners need a little work. She adores belly rubs and cuddles. Ellie truly thinks she is a lap dog and will climb into your lap while you are watching television. She is a gentle giant who just wants to be loved.

Ellie takes a few days to settle into new environments. She will pace and bark when left alone, but this passes within a few days.  Patience is the key to making her comfortable, and belly rubs, lots of belly rubs!

Ellie is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is fully housebroken.

Do you have a home for this big, drooly hunk of love?  She is currently being fostered in Lion's Head, ON.  An adoption donation of $400 applies.
