All about Walter
Wally arrived in our care on January 19 and is getting himself settled into his foster home.  So far he has shown himself to be a sweet fella' who has nice house manners, gets along well with other dogs, and knows basic commands.

Wally loves to play with other dogs and will be happiest in a home with another playmate.  He plays for hours with his best buddy in his foster home! His playstyle can be a bit rough, so matching him with a playmate who is rough and tumble too will be best.

He has loads of energy to burn and will love to have a big backyard to romp around in and play.  Owners who are active and able to give him ample opportunities for exercise are a must.

He came to us when his owners felt that his training needs were more than they could handle.  A typical young hooligan, Walter was jumping up, mouthy and generally being an unruly pup.

So far he has shown some mouthy behaviour when excited but redirects easily.  His foster family are working on basic steps to help control arousal and he is responding wonderfully.

He can be a bit stubborn and will jump up nervously/excitedly and mouth when asked to do something he doesn't want but is willing to follow commands and comply as directed.  An owner who has some time to continue on with basic obedience and socialization will be the best fit for Wally.  His training needs will be ongoing for a while yet.

He loves spending time with people and will be happiest in a home where he will not spend long hours alone.  Belly rubs are one of his favourite things!

Wally has been neutered, is current on vaccines, and appears to be in good health.

More details will be posted as we get to know him better.

An adoption donation will apply.
