Update - January 26, 2011

Newf Friends volunteers have been busy as ever these last few days - here's the latest update...

Molly, a beautiful 6 year old girl will be arriving in our foster program this Sunday. Details to come soon.

Handsome Bear, a loving 8 year old boy, is now smiling after having lots of matts removed, getting a much needed bath, having his ear infections treated and getting some pain meds. He is feeling frisky, his tail is wagging, and this lovable fella' will be ready to find a perfect home just as soon as we finish getting him all cleaned up and groomed out.

Lovable pup Harold is responding to the TLC he is receiving in foster care. He has already gained 6 lbs! Harold's hair is growing in, his legs are correcting, and he is on the road to recovery. This sweet boy is a real love bug, gets along with everyone, and is going to bring so much joy to a loving family.

Sweet Lily has safely arrived in her new foster home where she will get some one-on-one attention to help her learn all about new things. Given the lack of socialization Lily and her sister Penelope have had, it was in their best interest to place them into separate foster homes to help them gain confidence in the company of two different packs of well socialized, confident dogs. This shy, gentle girl will be having her spay surgery tomorrow.

Lily's sister Penelope is also settled into a foster home with a large pack of dogs to help build her confidence and teach her all sorts of new things. She has been going out with her foster family to meet new people and be exposed to new things. She's making progress! She will be spayed and have laser surgery to correct bilateral cherry eye, on Feb 1.

Sassy girl Mackenzie is recovering well from surgery. She has a follow-up vet appointment this Friday to have her spay sutures removed and to assess the success of her cherry eye surgery. Updates to come!

Charlie has a lot to smile about! He has been adopted into a fantastic family and is happy as can be! Congratulations Charlie!

Another happy ending, Ruby is pictured here with her new sister Koda. Congratulations Ruby on finding an amazing family to love you forever!

Speaking of amazing families -- Koda and Ruby's family are featured on our Kids that Care website! Thank you Eugenie, Esten and Milo!

It's raining puppies, of all breeds! Our parent group HART has puppies, puppies and more puppies available for adoption. If you know of any loving families who are looking to adopt a pup, please direct them to HART!
