Update January 6, 2011

Happy Newf Year! We hope that everyone had a happy holiday season. All of the Newfs in our care had lots of loving throughout the holidays, a roof over their heads, cozy beds to sleep on, and bellies full of good food.

The new year has just begun and we have already responded to an emergency plea to help a Newf in desperate need of a life saving emergency. Ruby arrived in our care on the 4th of January and was taken directly to the vet to be treated for pyometra. She came through her emergency surgery with flying colours and is now recuperating in a loving foster home. Read about Ruby by clicking here.

As one Newf comes in, we prepare for another to head out to his new home. Jake (Monsieur Plume) will be joining his awesome new family within the next week. Way to go Jake!

Mackenzie, the girl who refuses to be spayed, is finally healthy enough to have surgery! She will have her cherry eye corrected and finally be spayed later this month, then is ready to go to a loving adoptive home. She's a sweet girl, affectionate and playful, and will make a great addition to the right family. Read her bio to learn more about her!

Speaking of sweet and playful Newfs, how about Charlie!? What a clown! This fun loving fella' is under assessment and we will start screening homes for him next week. Get your application in now if you would like to be considered for adopting him! Charlie's bio can be found here.
