Newf Friends Newfoundland Dog Rescue is a volunteer run, foster home based rescue group for Newfoundland Dogs in need in Ontario, Canada.
We place Newfs into carefully screened homes in Ontario and surrounding provinces and states.
Established in 2008.

Update: January 3, 2013

Happy Newf  Year!  We hope that all of our friends and supporters had a wonderful holiday season and that 2013 has been off to a great start for you.


As Newf Friends wrapped up the year we had placed 35 Newfs into loving homes in 2012, bringing our total number of Newfs placed to 115 in just 4 years. We started the new year with 10 Newfs in foster care, and two Newfs pending intake.  2013 is shaping up to be another busy year at our rescue - foster homes are needed!

Here's what we've been up to since our last update:
 
Gorgeous Mira was adopted.  She was our last adoption of 2012 and is getting lots of love in her new home!  Woo-hoo!

The year started off great for Ashes, who is our first adoption of 2013.  Congratulations beautiful girl!





More good news -- 20 month old Sullivan has an adoption pending!  Congratulations  sweet boy!  Check out his bio here.

And more great news, sweet senior girl Sheila also has an adoption pending!  How terrific is that? 




We've had lots of happy endings, but there are still many Newfs waiting for the right family to come along.  Here are the Newfs who are currently waiting for homes:


Gorgeous fella' Texas arrived in our care and has been under assessment for the last month. He is doing GREAT and is ready to find his perfect family.  You can read his bio here.

 
Love-bug Rupert is doing terrific and having a great time romping and playing at his foster home.  If you are looking for a playful active companion he'll be right up your alley!    Here's his bio.

Speaking of love-bugs, sweet, sensitive Monty has loads of love to give.  This adorable young landseer is doing very well in his foster home.   He loooves belly rubs and snuggles and has excellent house manners.  He is ready to find his perfect family.  Read about Monty here.


 
This big teddy bear is Schultz,  a fabulous fella' who is ready to join a great family.  Gentle, affectionate, great with other dogs, cats, kids, you name it, this boy is the whole package!   Isn't he just the cutest?  Read more about him in his bio.
 
Sweet girl Katie needs a home of her own.  She has been waiting much too long!   This adorable girl is looking for a great, cat free family to love.  She really is a wonderful girl, she needs someone to love her!  Read about her here.
