Teddy

 Teddy
2014-021

August 5, 2014: Teddy was adopted!

Meet Teddy, a totally adorable young goofball who is looking for a great family to call his own.

Teddy is a friendly and social boy who loves to have fun and goof around.  A typical young male he is active, loves to splash around in the water, and romp around the yard. He also likes to play, dig, stand in and dunk his whole snout into water dishes/buckets. This means he makes a huge mess, whether he's inside or outside. Potential adopters should be ok with having puddles and trails of water around his water dish! Keep drool rags handy!!

Teddy could use some work on his commands and manners, but is eager to please and with adequate exercise and some basic training he will mature into a wonderful boy. He especially needs work with his leash skills (he pulls like a Mack truck!) but with some training and consistency we're sure this guy will be walking like a dream in no time.  He is a bit boisterous and clumsy so is not suited to a family with very young children.

In the house he is quite calm and loves to lay around on the vents, hogging all the cool air, which means his fur flies around all over the place. Ha ha!! We are working on grooming him out to remove his full undercoat and matting around his back end, ruff and ears. Stay tuned for "after" pictures!

Relaxing... in a puddle!

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, whether big or small, and could happily join a family with well mannered dogs. We don't know how he is with cats. Check him out in the video below with some of his buddies at his foster home. What a gentle boy he is!

Born on December 25, 2012 he is just a pup at 1.5 yrs.  He is a large boy (137 lbs) who appears to be in good health. His vaccines are UTD and he has been neutered.

Teddy is being fostered in the Guelph area, his approved family will be required to pick him up in person. An adoption donation of $500 applies.
