All about Sarah
This cutie is currently on medical hold awaiting surgery.

Xrays show that she has bilateral elbow dysplasia and that arthroscopic surgery of both elbows is required for Fragmented Coronoid Process (FCP). On top of this we will also be doing an Ulnar Ostectomy (UO) as her left leg/paw is angled out and needs to be corrected.  Given her young age, Sarah's prognosis following recovery from surgery is excellent.

The hope is that her surgeon can fix both elbows and do the UO at the same time, but he won't know for sure until he scopes her right elbow during the surgery. Worst case she will have 2 surgeries with the first correcting the left elbow and doing the UO on the left leg. The second surgery would be done 6-8 weeks later on the right elbow - her right leg/foot are growing normally. Total recovery time regardless of number of surgeries is 4 months.

Donations towards the cost of Sarah's care are greatly appreciated.  Please visit our Donation Page for details on how to make your tax deductible donation.
